Between the division leading Marlins and Rays:  I like the Rays' chances; however, both squads have a tough road ahead by virtue of their respective divisions and the teams they must compete with.  What separates the Rays from the Marlins is their bullpen and bats.  In all probability, neither team will win their division or make it as a wild card.

I dont follow the Rays - but I should be. I was just wondering how Garza has been doing - stats dont show much.

How about Bartlett?

I just know the Twins are enjoying Young and Harris, both their bats and gloves.

Just hope old Twinkies could do the same with the Rays

The biggest question with the Twins is pitching, in particular, what is the deal with Liriano?  Is it just that his post-surgery recovery is taking longer than expected or is it mental?  Would they have traded Santana if they could have foreseen this dilemma with Liriano?

It is totally mental. His physical health is great. When he got to the mound, I think he was totally overthinking/overthrowing. He just needs Minor League starts to regain confidence that he is a MLB Ace-To-Be.

I think the Twins would still have traded Santana. I mean, look where they are without him, I think the trade was great- even if Liriano doesnt pan out to become the Ace the Twins wanted him to be.
